Welcome to Advanced Independent Study in Chinese!

We are interested in a wide range of issues ranging from contemporary transformation of Chinese folk tales to internal migration in China, from cultural studies to the study of language in intercultural contexts. We meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 to 11:50 am in POT 1043 (except on Jan. 28 and Feb. 11 when we will meet in POT 1453). Two students will present on their readings at each meeting, and reading digests and presentation outlines will be posted on this blog the night before the presentation or earlier.
